Where have all the angels gone? I have grown weary of the battle. As i get older it becomes increasingly more difficult to understand or accept mans inhumanity. Mine is a journey to the divine but my path is blocked by those who wallow in an ocean of negativity. I seek to breathe in inspiration as i send out blessings of peace and love. Yet the weight of hatred , racism , homophobia , sexism ... have taken their toll. There are too many selfish and not enough selfless. We have an inherent earth connection that we ignore for we continually rape the land , taint the water and pollute the air. Where have all the angels gone?
Where have all the angels gone? Where are those who celebrate life and spirit while fostering greater harmony? The heart of the world is broken and we are the abusers. We must create purpose in our lives and seek to enrich , enlighten and educate. We must live in a more conscious way and let our souls speak. Where have all the angels gone?
I like it. It's like a cry for change- a call to action.
The title is definitly what drew me in, and I like how you repeated it throughout the poem. However, it threw me off when you repeated it at the end of the first stanza and at the beginning of the second. It made me take a really big breath before I read it. XD
You have a very powerful way of reaching out to people through words. It makes me want to get up and do something now... I might just do that.
I hope someday the world can hear these same words.
Angels walk this earth but, as they should, they hide for much of the time. When they do appear, they tread carefully and gently; when they speak they do so with conviction but, softly. They're with us, believe me.
What you feel is felt by thousands, millions. So many people wonder where empathy and love for the other 'Man' has gone in our crazy, all-self orientated world.
Your poem is beautiful, sad but beautiful. You ask questions, you've been heard.
I love this poem, and so true are your words. One thing I
noticed is that your outline didn't much look like a poem.
I don't know if it was the way you meant to write it or the
word document decided to just put it that way when you
posted it. Your words are deeply inspiring, and spiritual.
Your energy runs through the words themselves. AD
Michael, I hear you and I'm listening. It's like there is a mesmerizing fog that hovers over the earth. Those who have there "bright lights" on seem to be able to see through it, but those who don't attempt to defy it, see what it wants them to see and therefore are driven only to the places that it reveals to them. Instead of them seeing beyond the violence, they become a part of it. When in reality the violence is nothing but confusion created by man. If only some prominent bodies would make it their business to explain and convey to the people that in reality it's all really so clear, of course, if would be a plus if the people would listen. God didn't drop us off in hell. Great-Intriguing piece of true art, Michael.
I hear you! This is a subject that rings in my head as well. It's amazing that hatred, a word that we once saw as a trite inconvenience, can be so complex in nature and cause humanity to become what it is today. It makes me sad... to turn on the television and see all the violence, there have been many nights where my dreams are filled with the images of the suffering and the suffered. It's good to know that there are others out their who acknowledge this decline in humanity... that signifies there is a means by which it can be stopped.

Well written! This piece mad me stop and think. I liked what you had to say. Very nice!
This piece is very well done and begs the reader to question themselves. Unfortunately I don't have the answer to your question, but hear you loud and clear. Some "humans" have forgotten what it is to be humane.
That was wonderful. The world has become so intolerant of others and of the planet itself. When we can see the flaws in ourselves as humans, then and only then will we be able to begin to resolve the issue, but most humans will not see that flaw.
I really love the piece, and hope to see more like this from you.
