Where Have All The Angels Gone

Where Have All The Angels Gone

A Poem by Micheal Teal

Where have all the angels gone? I have grown weary of the battle. As i get older it becomes increasingly more difficult to understand or accept mans inhumanity. Mine is a journey to the divine but my path is blocked by those who wallow in an ocean of negativity. I seek to breathe in inspiration as i send out blessings of peace and love. Yet the weight of hatred , racism , homophobia , sexism ... have taken their toll. There are too many selfish and not enough selfless. We have an inherent earth connection that we ignore for we continually rape the land , taint the water and pollute the air. Where have all the angels gone?

Where have all the angels gone? Where are those who celebrate life and spirit while fostering greater harmony? The heart of the world is broken and we are the abusers. We must create purpose in our lives and seek to enrich , enlighten and educate. We must live in a more conscious way and let our souls speak. Where have all the angels gone?

Can anybody hear me!

I like it. It's like a cry for change- a call to action.
The title is definitly what drew me in, and I like how you repeated it throughout the poem. However, it threw me off when you repeated it at the end of the first stanza and at the beginning of the second. It made me take a really big breath before I read it. XD

You have a very powerful way of reaching out to people through words. It makes me want to get up and do something now... I might just do that.
I hope someday the world can hear these same words.

Words manifesting the dilemma of an individual….
Who is craving for the realization of his spiritual entity…
I too fall into the same state of uncertainty…..often…when I meet with rebuffs….
But…..optimism and faith in god almighty are the only means by which we sail across the ocean of evils….we are doomed to find our own way…..and finish our journey successfully

This poem sums up exactly what I was dwelling on yesterday night. Where have all the angels gone? Have they abandoned us or are they simply waiting for the end of the world in order to come rescue us? A great poem and wonderful piece that entices the reader to think about the issues surrounding life.

I have to say, I've never seen a poem written quite like this, but it really makes the message stand out more. The repitition of the title throughout the poem really makes it resonate with me. Those words have stuck to me. They really make me want to try and change things right this second. A great poem.

This is wonderful an effortless journey through spiritual awakening and understanding...Angels walk in many forms and wear so many guises that they often go unnoticed. You share your thoughts and meaning with great eloquence.

kind regards

Audrey

I hear you, I love the angels as well and they are still here by our sides awaiting for us to ask for there help, but not many know that they must ask first. I am happy to see an angel story and thank you for sharing it!
