when we stand together

when we stand together

A Poem by Ojay/olcay

I do forsake those who’ve trespassed

The boundaries of my soul and heart;

For them it was a moment of lust,

But mine was for truth and decency.

I can over look the mindless acts of others

And give them patience to repent;

For them words are just spoken,

But mine were precisely written.

I know what it is that I said.

Never mind them who spear your faith;

The sword oft finds its resting place.

Forgive the sheltered with homes of hate;

For love is securely encased.

Seek the stillness of Time

And they will always look back;

For regret is the poison leaking

From our breasts once sweetened with hope.

They have made us swallow tears;

Blocked our view of Utopia.

Yet refuse to bathe in the milk of men,

Strength is our Matriarch and to be forgiven;

We are together in all wars and peace

Nothing to lose, nothing to fear.
