Going to Colorado

Going to Colorado

A Poem by Veronica Chandler
"

This is a piece I wrote for the Led Zeppelin Lovers Group while listening to the song, "Going to California.

"

Going to Colorado

Mixing emotions and searching a heart

Leave yesterday and tomorrow to start

Feeling and everything begins with me

Lost light now found; I set me free

Wandered the land, spent it all two times

Fortunes ignored I lived my life in rhymes

I set me out on the open road as hope does roam

Mountains to the west the land called me home

Peace there somewhere I vow now to find

Campaign for unity while I seek like kind

Feeling and everything begins with me

Lost light now found; I set me free

Shifting my energy close to the speed o light

Taught my heart to see; now it thinks right

Life gently whispers its song now a vibrant glow

Clarity lightly bubbles within awakening a know

Understanding dawns in the darkest of places

The past comes around; I with warm embraces

Feeling and everything begins with me

Lost light now found; I set me free

Another beautiful poem written about a beauiful place.

Oh to climb those mountains tall
Then mine eyes shall see it all
And when this perfect days is done
I'll gaze upon the setting sun

Colorado, land of beauty as majestic as your words.

Lovely imagery. I understand what it is like to move to a new place; all the excitement and yet the loss left behind. I love the phrases in this poem. It's absolutely beautiful. Your pros flow like a stream. The dawn's sun over a mountain describes the experience of moving to a new place perfectly.
