Peace

Peace

A Poem by Veronica Chandler
"

Just riding a train of thought and wondering, "Is Fighting the same as seeking Peace only called by another name?" Are we seeking acceptance, allowance, acknowledgment or something else?

"

Peace

Peace is a mere step away

A little bitty word away,

A lightly bouncy rhyme from now

Peace is simply a brush stroke away

A well written song away

A wink to acknowledge humanity from now

Peace is purely a dawning mind away

A nice small gesture away

A little bitty “Kudos” from now

Peace is only “A” uniting thought away

A little Poem away

A sharing from now

Peace is but an allowing away

A free hug away

An Idea away from now

Peace is now and how.

Author's Note

Veronica Chandler
Just asking questions, no offense intended. I am speaking here of the inner peace that that just may give birth to the outer peace, I speculate that all humans ultimately seek. Inner peace preceding the outer expression. When we hold the one inside first the other has a place to exist.

"When the love of power is overcome by the power of love the world will know peace."
Jimi Hendrix

“People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed , and redeemed; never throw out anyone.”
Audrey Hepburn

You have written of that which soothes our poetic souls, about the peace we feel as we write. Beautiful Veronica
