Beauty RareA Poem by Veronica ChandlerThis one is both an expression of frustration and a request to be seen through different, deeper eyes.
Anticipating Another dawn Between Those ears and heart I want to be seen Through different eyes Not reflections in a pond I am a flower Beauty rare it’s true Inside stirs something more Deeper than ponds reflecting Deeper than mere sights do bear More than a bloom More than reflections I am exquisite inside Yet you see only my petals Blowing in the breeze Of dreams you wish me to be Wanting to cut my stem And bring me to a vase You enjoy me while I die I languish inside this vessel As you never really see More than petals more than colors You have missed me so completely Dismissed the beauty rare Found inside the stem you cut Enjoy me while I die and miss the best inside © 2011 Veronica ChandlerReviews
