Lofty WingsA Poem by Veronica ChandlerSoaring aloft from a different perspective this one tickled its way out to see the light of day.Beneath life’s lofty
wings
Soar and glide amongst
the pain so sweet Unscathed or scorched
by the sting
For even in the storm
the heart of possibility lay Waiting for an open eye
to see
It’s ripe and ready to
be plucked Sweet with joy dripping
down a chin
Around the bend and up
the road The choice does set one
free
A flood dawning in a
heart and mind Loosening the ties that
strap
Will light blind or
warm a heart To delicately draw on
peace’s pipe
The truth plain to see Beneath life’s lofty
wings © 2013 Veronica ChandlerFeatured Review
