Wood Nymph

Wood Nymph

A Poem by Veronica Chandler
"

I've had spring fever longing to go to my mountains, so I went there in spirit and this is what came of it. Thanks to Beautiful Amazing World for use of the image.

"

Wood Nymph

I’m a little wood nymph

Just nature through and through

Dancing to life’s rhythms

With the seasons as my clock

Strolling through the wilds I go

Throughout my mother’s love

The mountains my companions

While the forests speak to me

The woods they show her love

Embrace me with her calm

As trees do whisper gently

Of ages gone so long

A spider’s web hangs heavy

Jeweled with misty mornings dew

Lit by dapples dancing lively

To a breeze just passing by

A dragon fly flits over head

It all seems like a dream

The light beams dance across my path

Highlighting glittered life

I sow only seeds of love

All along my merry way

I plant them for my mother

And love to watch them glow

Nature comforts and supports me

Carrying me through

To the fields of morning glories

Sun kissed in the dew
