Winds of Change

Winds of change blow through my mind

Gusting to speeds uncharted

Thought clouds speed across my sky

No dusty corners left behind

A Gallery of beauty passing over head

Shifting moment by moment

Shades range in depth and saturations

Moving through all colors spread

Whistling currents of air sing your name

As it kisses the tree’s leaves

Symphonies capture my spirit and soul

Life lived in songs gently playing

Change hurls forward at the speed of sound

Nothing can avoid its touch

Time shifts like the sands of the Kalahari

Blasted, as sharp edges become round

Winds of change are blowing my mind apart

Ushering in a spring of spirit

Clearing out and exposing my fertile grounds

Ripe and ready to become a work of art

Blustery winds of change swirling within me

Altering the fabric of my being

Cellular memories rearranged so completely

I am born anew as the seasons blow in

The Santa Ana’s have much change in store

Bringing life and death and love

Possibilities measured only in the minds eyes

Light now beaming from my every pore

Great description create vision and thoughts. I like how you used the wind to make your point. I like the above lines. The wind can do many things. Can allow us to feel the freedom of a force that can't be controlled. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

Many times we fear change because what we have is good but sometimes change makes things better in the long run. This sounds like the longing for someone who has moved on to other planes and will be missed but life moves forward and we have no choice but to move with it. I love the imagery in this piece and the feel of the wind drifting across my mind.

There's something extremely special about breezes and the varying kinds of wind strengths - the way they create movements in the air all around and within us. For me, walking against the wind is super fantastic: stings the skin, veils the eyes, yet somehow ignites energy! The way you take each stanza and create a scene and emotion is truly wonderful and so near to my feelings, i could cry a little, Veronica.
