![]() Winning The RaceA Poem by Veronica ChandlerCrumpled dreams Scattered like damage After a wide swath
carved By a tornadic storm of
hatred
Pieces of hearts Thrown, tossed about Souls fragmented
without Care from the
aggressive acts
Raced to finish hate United in efforts to
join Life long quest to beat
time In bodies honed to
perfection fine
We are the winners Not in fear as intended Bravely we soldier on
in unity Together with love we
repair hatred
We finish the race Ahead of the hate game Tempered by fires meant
to maim Stronger than the
strongest steel we stand
Together heads high Resolve runs through us
all We will race again and
win the war Made to create hate,
fear and suspicions
We will run, love, and
live In peace together As one people Freely © 2013 Veronica ChandlerReviews
