Wind Swept Mind

Wind Swept Mind

A Poem by Veronica Chandler
"

Just practicing a new technique in writing...

"

Wind Swept Mind

When you come across the chaos,

Of my windswept mind, tarry.

Dance with my spirit for a bit;

Linger with my pain and sit.

You know not what gift you may give,

What comes back may surprise you.

Delight can come from a lost place

Life can teach us with our grace

Mighty is the way of loving

Strength in a nod or a wave

Seems like such a small thing to do

The smallest gesture creates

Sending the wave out there today

Shifts the life for everyone

Immeasurable is loves light

Incomprehensible too

The opening two lines carry this poem well and mix the subjects of nature and the human mind that create a reminder of how integrated we are with everything around us. The message of love is very strong too.

Your review delights me and I appreciate it very much...Thank you.
The details in this piece are splendid. It has a relaxing feel to it. The last stanza sums up this piece quite well and I really like the use of the word tarry. It is a word that many do not use in their writing.
