in the mood for writing, just playing around with ideas (:

they say men are all the same

another rose in the bush

each bearing a thorn

they say men all seek one thing

another lion on the prowl

to seduce a poor gazelle to cross its path

they say men all know nothing

another ant in the scheme

tryin' to build its hill amidst the storm

i almost believed them

but i'm still trying to find my unicorn

my platypus, my chinchilla

my bizarre, unprecedented rarity

my sad, endangered species

to protect with all my will and all my strength

i may have caught a glimpse

but this jackalope was

far too fast to catch

i pray with all my hope

that this new one i've found

could prove to be outpacing all the rest.
