The Secret Life of A Doorknob

The Secret Life of A Doorknob

A Poem by Electric Fascination
"

Special thanks to Neil G, although I highly doubt he'll ever read this. Anyway, this was incredibly random and I needed to lighten up! Review, review, review! (:

"
Day after day I wait
Germs and diseases I spread
Boy doing nasty things then touching me..
Is hygiene such a crazy concept to see?
And now I'm sleeping.
Mid-dream I hear someone approach
Hands wrap around me.
Not in the way I'd like, either
Open my eyes just to see
The world spins upside down, floor coming hither
Have you no respect for a doorknob like me?
I plan my revolt
One day I'll stop granting access
Leave you there, waiting in a deadlock
But I'll never give nor bless
What have you done for me?
Spun me, diseased me, interrupted my rest.
And what will you do?
I am only a doorknob, after all
Until then I'll wait
Seeing all I wish I hadn't
Acting as your worthy gate
