Fallen

Sitting by the fire

Heating my body

On this cool fall night

A slight breeze

A flickering flame

Rustles in the trees

The lit sky

Full moon, scattered with stars

Blankets the peaceful night

 

A walk on the ground

Resulting in a simple crunch

From the fallen leaves

Ranges of color

Showing the beauty

Of our natural surroundings

Even in darkness

It's still able

To see the glow of color

Rising from the piles

 

As the light changes

They show brighter

More and more fall around

Beauty growing among

Giving their all

To make it safely

Down to the ground

 

To fall with strength

Overcome fear

Challenging theirself

To end

With the best

 

It gives inspiration

To me

To forget

That I have fallen myself

And never bothered

To pick myself up

Giving the strength

I never had

I can leave it all behind

I will never fail

And I say I have fallen
