HOMELESSA Poem by sarah greene
I think we all want a place to call home.
I think we all convince ourselves that home can be inside of another person. But you won’t always keep me warm. I know this because Just the other night you had your arm around me, And I was still shivering. You won’t always hold up. Just the other night your mom called you a failure, And I watched you crumble to the ground. I think we all want a place to call home, And I think there are holes In the belief that That home can be inside of someone else. © 2016 sarah greene |
