Forgiveness

This is about my sexual assault a few years ago and the pain it caused and how i've finally learned to forgive so i can move on with my life.

The blame is on you

can't you see

you're the reason i cry

when someone kisses me

the thought of someone

wanting to love this

makes my stomach turn

with a vile sickness

i'm a mess

broken into pieces

but here's my thoughts

my final thesis

when someone is damaged

as much as me

they need time to heal

like a widow needs to grieve

so i will be better

and i will learn to love

because i am better then this

and i believe that i'll rise above

so live your life

and do what you do

because even though you broke me

i finally forgive you.
