A Poem by offbeat orator

true, both pointless and unkind,
to press play and then rewind.
moments are not made to last,
live in the present, not the past!

medusa met and turned to stone,
you still hide in pain and all alone,
clutching at straw with closed eyes,
why linger in dreams that life denied.

a fool not, but foolishness found,
wasting time with the unsound.
open those eyes and take notes,
relinquish forever your past ghosts.
