misdirection...

misdirection...

A Poem by offbeat orator

celebrity self proclaimed, wherein lies your fame, lucky sheep exist to follow;
glamour without purpose, empty beneath the surface, pied piper for the hollow.
priorities misdirected, inspirer of the hopeful dejected, i fear what you influ-ence;
professions without value, ambitions low and shallow, power with no pres-ence.

common men overshadowed, real leaders undervalued, logic does not prevail;
popularity mis-used, the blind leads the confused, on route for epic fail.
consumed and distracted, the reality is abstracted, the masses they do stray;
needed change neglected, visionaries rejected, this world has lost its way.

subscribers of virtue, your voices long overdue, this path requires correction;
ambassodors of faith, in ignorance they wait, the weak cry out for protection.
potential wasted, misfit dreams chased never tasted, time has mercy for none;
travelling with closed eyes, serves the person unwise - life is a journey for one.
