Another Walk

Another Walk

A Poem by Souladareatease

Sunlight kisses Autumn leaves
wrapping whipping fall air calls
chilling
to where each footstep crunches under
the howling holler of seasons empty

Blue sky breaks peek through
golden hued stalwarts
tempting the heart, pulling the mind
to that quiet corner
Inn

Holding all the warmth
as lights dance
colour shadows wave
a fire burns remembrance
yesterday tomorrow today

Let fall, pierced and starlight curtain
bring me not, light without Rose ascension
here
where I hear taste and smell
beauty that must be shared, dreaming

Still
it never shares...
only rolls in constant motion
dragging me under, towed along the bottom
deep in this stream of colour
