Behind waterfalls

Behind waterfalls

A Poem by Souladareatease

behind the veil of waterfall
inset a cove with painted walls
crystalline drips amid foggy mist
trickle in cavernous sound
I found myself there
many moon glows ago, drifting
mixing, ochre, spit and blood
painting turkeys, other birds we know
smoothing stones to cascading falls
developing images scene through the years
take shape to things held dear
the once crudely lain now thick painted glaze
leavings that stain layer upon layer
As the blacken top bakes ashen past
the center of it all roars the fiery core
that no matter what stays there claims change
in embracement I stake my cave
one painting at a time

You words cascade as a waterfall indeed and you , the painter , paints the most beautiful one in our minds ...Excellence ...:)

hehehe well my head does resemble a rock--Thank You Kind Quin!!!
in embracement I stake my cave
one painting at a time -- you know...this says a lot to me.

One of the reasons I so love your writing is that on the first reading I tend to just enjoy the words and the wordplay, and then on the second reading I find myself getting down to what is being said between the words; the little nuances that cleverly worm their way into the readers mind as quiet as the growth of a seedling. So, this one is growing in my head right now...thank you...
