Misty Morning

Misty took a scrap of paper
tearing the edges off
she wrote a note proclaiming
just how day had been won
A slight victory
in times of daily battles
as night was worn
like a battle scarf
the favor of saint Angelus...

Stars adorned Her cheeks
their dust falling
from Her sleeves
while the moon held high
upon Her face
perfect space in between

The twinkling of Her eyes
Clair vision tip-toeing
She took to Her knife

Begins the bleeding
 
Dark trickles beading
to parchment
lacing the page
woven deepened tapestry

Her life and to days
stained by the earth
revolving wrong ways

Penning the shards
erasing the space
reminding Her once

Whence came the light

Then spark led to dark
holding future memory
shoving the dagger
further and deeper
bleeding profusely
found Herself writing
to a brand new day

So to the light
now shining in
Carried Her off
where magic begins
Living...

In ever endless
              fantasy

Gray? or Grey? I still get confused ...Grey is for the aliens correct...and Gray is for "feeling" right?
the "e" makes it look more ominous where as the "a" makes it seem more personal...so if things are "looking" gray again You truly mean Grey right? because Gray would be an overcoat and feel comforting...of course...it IS summer and may actually be stifling and therefore fit as Grey...Hmmm Always reading between the lines You have me doing Dear Friday...Make fantasy...You be Mr. Rourke and i'll be Tattoo...keep mind on the festivities and i'll tell You when more planes are coming!!! silver goes nice with grey...but cant wear that everyday...

You know, i think they can be used interchangeably (at least such as been my discovery in reasearch), but you are correct; "gray" seems more personal and descriptive of the tangible, which "grey" seems more mysterious and ominous, better used for impact.

:) ahhhh yes...research, I peruse and call it such...and whilst out perusing recently I discovered Gray is used primarily in the United States and other areas that use US English. Grey is used in Great Britain and areas that use UK English. ........Hmmmmm debateable methinks.

Yes indeed across the pond I have fancied Myself as well...dying to see London...And CA I spent many years there throughout summers...so I get the whole flip-flop thing...I wore the hell out of them every year...Here on the East of west Virginia I moved from Al. where flip-flops and scorpions don't mix... but here....Ahhhh Like Cali but more hills...kinda like Frisco with more trees

This poem tells me that every day we wake up it is misty , unknown things will happen and battles are ready to erupt so we have to be prepared with everything to win the fights of the day. Some live in reality and some live in fantasy so we have to choose either path...A very good one here you have shared with us...:)
