Of time and tale of blue

storytell

Dreams of the blue tigress
reached the Indian boys slumber
He awoke with scratches
but thought nothing of it
and into the forest he went

Dipping his hands into clay
wiped being upon his face
closed his eyes to drift away
and followed the sun...

Heat measured steps
lighted along
a vision quested pathway
spoke secret depths
as he went further into the jungle

stopping at the sound
of water falling down
He breathed in and was swept
by the smells that had crept
from all the blossoming flora

Upon opening his eyes
at the edge of the sky
stood the blue tigress...

just the mist
a cliff
and a dream
Sacre' Blue

And he dove...

What a beautiful picture!!! I love it! Your writing always amazes me, your choice of words the way you put your pieces together. Wonderful work here my friend. This piece along with the pic reminds me of the entire side one to Rush 2112 album. More so the song Discovery/presentation. First, I love the concept of this piece. The idea of "vision quests" has always enthralled me...it is a part of many different cultures, but mostly known as an Indian ritual. I did some studying on this in college and found so many references, dating back to Egyptian times. Anyway, enough of that.

Technically........this was GREAT! What a sublime, image filled read from start to finish. I'm so fond of your style and the way that you so thoughtfully choose your words, phrasing and ideas. I'm a big fan.
