Walkabout

Walkabout

A Poem by Souladareatease

walking within the mist
I heard howling low animal growls
with this I pick up pace
wondering if Hell hounds on the trail
Eyes red concrete hold
keeping me still steadfast and bold
I curse the beast wanting blood
gathering earth with wetted palm I rise
          Incantations Iron incentive
                                             soulcrafting signed significant
      to the teeming-

Mist~

atrous melanic drips
paint the exit
as I slipped
in fabric
folding
within
sense
this
bis

Ahem, Soul, i loved Dio! Ok onto the write. The night can be a mysterious mind trick. Is it friend or foe? Beast or lost traveler? Enjoyed this walkabout.

You are welcome Soul. He certainly is. :)
this reminds me of the movie "the grey"

quite chilling in its atmosphere...

keeps the reader on edge with the speaker.

well done.

Thank You very much Jacob, Greatly appreciated:)
i cannot imagine why you have never been reviewed on this. i guess people just don't get grabbed by a write sometimes, but i have to tell you that this is one of your more ethereal and frightening works, and i think it is a real stunner...even with the video of RJD i was still hearing and seeing that video "screaming in the night" by Krokus....this is a superb write, my friend.
