A Naiad awaits

A Naiad awaits

A Poem by Souladareatease

Upon the mossed banks

sat the Naiad awaiting

sun beams tickled as

Faerie flittered, singing

harmonious cries

Wash us down now

watery sprite, we

who skip in flight

come to see you

our wings in shimmer

your thoughts well pleased

sitting by Your glittery stream

life giving, waters babble

brook forests Glen

this,our homeland

nourishing hands

keeping us protected

from those O so

dry arid sands

The Naiad smiled, lifting

the stream up higher

giving the moss more

life upon rock, She looks

as dew amidst the green

She sets awaiting

finest, silken

locks of hair

Something magical or folklorist about this great write. I felt the jungle of amazon of some sorts and living with the natives who are in tune with mother nature for it is their home...Pen on my friend...:)

This is really nice. I'm a sucker for this type of thing; most of the time. Don't know why either. Perhaps it appeals to my sense of childhood or from reading all of those old turn-of-the-century romantics that loved to fantasize about Euro-folklore. Nicely done my friend.

That is what I like about it too. Any folklore adds some magic ...:)
