I agree with Kristallo, this read like velvet, soft and buttery smooth. Your poem was so delicate, I was almost afraid to read you more than twice in fear that the words might break a syllable or two. Like lace that cannot be washed, or like paper that cannot be left out in the sun...
Tenderness was found in your fragile creativity.

reading this was strikingly similar to drinking a fine amaretto liqueur, easy on the palate and smooth all the way down, with a warming sensation which lingers with no foul aftertaste. wonderful metaphor combined with velveteen imagery which soothes the soul and invigorates the heart and mind. well penned!

This is stunning. "Such beauty borne is velvet forever." I adore that line, it's poetic grace incarnate... this poem is absolutely radiant and alive with vividly surreal imagery and whispers of romance. Some of the wording here is just brilliant, and so unique, that I found myself in awe of your craft. Truly, you are a writer that speaks from the cadence of his soul, your style is dreamy and delicate, it's such a pleasure to wrap up in them as if in shelter from the storm... also, wanted to point out how gorgeously perfect I found this section to be:
Breathing Breezes blown cadence
sun swings above, radiant
straddling stratosphere
Truly inspiring... don't ever change a thing, this is stoned immaculate exactly how it is! Great work.

Ahhhh so kind... Stoned Immaculate--why thank You:)
and whispered romance...I am ALWAYS a suck.. read moreAhhhh so kind... Stoned Immaculate--why thank You:)
and whispered romance...I am ALWAYS a sucker for this...it makes the bulk of my writes I think lol....shelter from the storm....AWWW swell my head!!!
and change never....I cringe upon many past writes when I go back and read...but I detest re-writes...rare if EVER will I rewrite a work...it was borne of and in the moment in my minds eye so there it stays...if I think re-write...it is better as a whole new work upon the same idea.......to recapture energy felt during a write can never be for me...it is always the rolling ball of mercury to be manipulated...but frozen in time as a painting once set forth.
Thank You so very much!!!

Lol, it was my pleasure. :) And yeah, I know what you mean about cringing when you read older works-.. read moreLol, it was my pleasure. :) And yeah, I know what you mean about cringing when you read older works- I do, too! But I found that if I rework it, it loses the same energy and turns into something else completely, so the original piece is gone forever... something to stay away from. rolling ball of mercury, nice! So clever. ;)
