Lilac in Spring

Lilac in Spring

A Poem by Souladareatease

Relaxing on our porch,
mind?
Not at all
but ablaze
unfolding
scents of Lavender,
wafting from the page

Sharing this
She smiled, saying
Save that for me, I wish to walk
amongst Deer and stream
Talking, as we walked
discussions upon knowledge

which are real, which are thought

Deck to the trails
trickling, surrender
dancing Butterflies
wings these holding hands,
sipping
Ice cooled lemon tea

We graze upon laughs

Sparkling stars,
falling out of our pockets
kicking stones out of the path
twinkling eyes, we pick them up,
cup in our hands, save the dust
all shiny and new

Kept for the nights

When things look gloom
we dance, to lights passion
we play, on the stage
When the night carries day
Woods upon acres
Lilac in the air
mountains start to move

and spring,

It
      does
            sing
   Paths to the moon
                                    Leaves that turn green

And the season begins
Perfectly Persephone

This poem is simply beautiful. So filled with love and affection, beauty and serenity. The lilac is one of my favorite flowers which unfortunately I can not grow where I live, the climate does not work well, I have tried and may try again someday. That being said, the fragrance of the lilac permeates through your words. Very nice.

You're quite welcome my friend.
Very beautiful. You have skillfully take readers to that almost-perfect-world you so beautifully created. Those subtle lovely gestures moulded into fine words, the peaceful days and nights, those thoughts wonderfully woven together to create this magnificent piece. You have made the smell of the flowers spring through the air from your pen. You are fantastic. I've added this into my favorites.

You remember those cartoons, back in the day, when the scent of a passing woman would billow out behind her and drag some lovestruck guy by the nostrils and his feet would come up off the ground...? Yeah, that's what this poem did to me...incredible write, my friend.

You weave these images so gorgeously! I can smell the lilacs, feel the path under my feet, taste that lemon tea... Still waiting for it to feel like Spring here, but your poem has brought it to me. Beautiful write!

Indeed:) Humbled and thankful!!!
'Perfectly persephone." You are stunning! This was a charming piece, the imagery is a delight to the senses, the moments shared are all gorgeous in their simplicity. Love is fascinating in that way, you can be doing nothing and in that stillness there is a blissful peace that can seldom be found otherwise... you have done an exceptional job in capturing 'lights passions' here, and the way you worded this particular section was gold dust for my soul:

When things look gloom
we dance, to lights passion
we play, on the stage
When the night carries day
Woods upon acres
Lilac in the air

Seasonal rhythms expressed with the movement of life. Sublime... you have exceeded expectations when you whispered life into this one. Great write.
