The Way To Hell

The Way To Hell

A Poem by Stephen
"

The "World" the harlot, that leads to hell

"
In the dark, fog filled night
the sun's light, now buried
I visit, to know the dead's plight
and to where they were ferried

The lifeless graveyard, I walked
by death,inhabitants marred
engraved, their life's poem
their tombstone, their bard

through dense fog, I walked
my vision impaired
over the dead, dirt caulked
the same end they shared

for death took all
not a one he spared
he brings all under his thrall
some unprepared

such a bard, I stumbled across
a story he had to tell
concerning the man, below the cross
who road the ferry to Hell

the bard began the tale
the poem he recited
hearing the poem made me wail
for in the same things I delighted

Spoken by the bard
is the following tale:

"here, ******** lies
 beneath this very stone
 of him I will apprise
why in Hell, he was thrown

For he kissed the seductive lips
 of the harlot, the "World"
 ravished in her temporary love
his soul in her bosom, furled

Her end was bitter as wormwood,
 sharp as a two-edged sword
Her feet took him down to death
her steps took hold on hell.

 here, ********* lies,
 beneath this very stone
 listen, you'll hear his cries
in hell where he was thrown"

The bard finished the tale
my face becoming pale,
on my knees I fell
as the sun removed the veil
for the name I saw,
of the one led to hell!

My..name..it revealed.

I continued to wail!!!!

To be continued.........
