I sit in my studio at home, before the day begins. I have
myself the canvas on which lies a painting. The painting is an accumulation of all the hues applied from times past. It has dark hues that gives it depth, and the brighter hues that gives it vibrancy. I reflect on the piece of art that has been forged, to see where brighter hues maybe applied.
I have before me my palette of different hues of oils, my brush, and the thoughts to be expressed. Brush in hand, I choose my hues of oils, and begin with the brush strokes that give life to my expression. In choosing to add darker hues to my canvas, I create the desire for hues that brighten. The addition of brighter hues reveals the need for depth that comes from the shades created from those that darken.
Through reflection on the piece of art that has been forged
A painting lacking either, is distorted at its best
But one that has a balance of both, that is a masterpiece
