Why must a heart break?

Is it for another’s sake?

 

Everyone knows a him,

A her,

A me,

All seeking that refuge

Where sound is as you need it,

Vision is as you wish it,

Touch is as you feel it.

 

In such a space,

A song may await

With affection’s reparative depth

Beside passion’s tenuous suspension,

Knowing love’s disappearance

Can transform into a cherished loss of worth.

I took away a great deal from this; mainly that some music speaks for us when we may not have our own words and often, better than we could if we had them. I was puzzled by the question mark at the end since no question was ventured. I enjoyed the read.
