Continuum

A Poem by Odin Roark
"

As the cliché proffers, “It’s never over ‘til it’s over,” nor should it be.

Continuum
               by Odin Roark

There is a place
Where you need to be
A place where your life is yours
Where only you are allowed

At some point
You’ll need to leave this sanctuary
Where your life is no longer yours
Where intrusions sever focus

Remain alert for tomorrow’s sanctum
Where no permission need be asked
Where discovery only requires you and you
Accepting one plus one equals one

Be prepared

Your inner child always skips ahead
Arrives primed and ready
Remains patient
Knowing well
One never grows too old

Experiencing learning’s wonder
The reward of applying
The laughter of solving
Remains stubbornly ageless

Listen carefully

In the distance
Awaits another way station
Put your hands together
Applaud the adventure
Invite your future

In continuum
Places change
