Hope and trust comes in many forms—especially as wisdom makes itself known.

Everyone’s Forever Moment
                     by Odin Roark

When breath becomes the all
When in and out focus
Once thought forgotten
Become a panoramic montage

Where one’s childlike innocence
Yearns to once again
Ride Valkyrie’s promised awakening
Journeying past yesterday’s interim adventure
Where misbegotten pleasures
Consider not tomorrow

Such a moment
Soars atop its ethereal smile
Enlightenment’s infectious hope
Floats down the hall
Past closed doors
Where crumpled pajamas
Cloak wrinkled bodies

Where Naked dreams
Never forgotten
Merely stored
Await longevity’s pill
Momentarily idle in its
Pleated cup of promises

Continuing past rain soaked windows
The moment gathers blurred remembrances
Where yesterday’s temporal control
Gradually conceded odorous embarrassment
Time’s often-inconsiderate sequence

Passing sanitized plastic furniture
Mortality’s welcome and exit lobby
Moment pauses
Nodding to wheelchairs
Tennis-balled walkers
Forever-faithful synthetic plants

Through glass doors now open
The oxygen tether finds itself
Pulled taut to hover
Between rain drops
Preparing the inevitable clearing
Where clouds of illusion
Break apart to bring
The radiant light of passage

At long last…

The umbrella of protection
Is no longer needed
Existence rallies consciousness
Infinity becomes clear

Moment’s endmost remnants
Regroup into new beginnings

Continuum’s
Where
When
And why
Remains patient
Awaiting everyone’s
Next forever moment
