What if...

What if...

A Poem by Odin Roark
"

Below, no more far fetched than Kafka’s deliberation on guilt and justice in “The Trial,” a consideration that altered many a reader’s sense of consciousness.

"
What if...
         By Odin Roark

What if

We're perceived as ugly
With only two arms
And two eyes
Strange hair growth
Surrounding that which emits sound?

What if

We look back at them
Acknowledge multiple appendages
No eyes
Radar-like awareness
What they perceive
Changing the color of their bodies?

What if

Our flowers
Trees
Animals
Waters
Soils
Represent help for aliens to understand
Man's regression into
Pre-multiple cell life reason?

What if

What if

Might that bring man's elected officials
To a modicum of auditory
Visual
And visceral awareness?

Enough to make aliens pity
Enough to cause governing consciousness to awaken
Enough to reclaim sentient being identity?

What if...
