Who Would Argue?

Who Would Argue?

So much to prove, so few who care. Seek.

Who Would Argue?
                   by Odin Roark

Energy inhabits a body
How finite that time
Then...

Is it drift
Or purpose
That existence ventures elsewhere?

How folly man's invention
Trying to cement end-all shape to life
When to be alive
Is only existence's moment at hand

Dream
Think
Be
Beyond the restraints
We are
After all
But humans
Wandering about one of the universe's dust specks

Oh

Did I fail to mention death
That's the...uh...ultimate step

C'mon
Supernatural words might entice
But reality chooses what we know
Not what we might want to believe

It's awesome out there
You
Me
Dust to be
Unless you choose the uninformed way
An obdurate casket
Where dust is hermetically confined
For what?

For what?

Did I suggest to you
That belief is nonsense?

Uh uh

But...

Give me empirical evidence
Not more of this
Locked-up-in-a-beginning
Middle
And end
Making no sense
Many's menagerie of life

For...

Show me where matter ceases to exist

Yeah...

I'm an optimist
Way past this life's bent to accept...

Endings
