Almost Bare

Almost Bare

A Poem by Michelle

We lose a bit,
sometimes.
Strands of ribbon
calico haze.
Bits fall to the sides
piling
lost to the winds
falls breath
like a leaf
letting go
of the branch
it once clinged to.
Shivering alone
fine myst
looking for shelter
to hide away,
for brief moments
lose the world
pains of knowing
standing almost bare.
