Black Ribbon

Black Ribbon

A Poem by Michelle
"

a write about truckin

"
Black ribbon spreads before her.
The black ribbon in her hair blows in the wind.
Vast open road always calling.
Black ribbon with the zipper a friend.

Oh that black ribbon its endless.
From sea to shining sea.
Big tires turning,
black ribbon taking them away.

Adventures around every corner.
Strangers meet and become friends.
Fading lights glowing
Black ribbon star struck once again.

On the black ribbon its endless.
From sea to shining sea.
Big tires turning,
black ribbon taking them away.

Purr of the motor,
sings the black ribbon to sleep each night.
Shifting through gears, another city
on another restless rainy night.

Love affair our passion fire hot.
Black ribbon carries us along.
18 wheels, faint shine of the headlights,
black ribbon fades with us into the sunset.

her black ribbon falls from her hair........

her black ribbon falls from her hair........

Awww ! Life was just a glorious, unending ribbon
of fun---- but, apparently into each life a little
flat tire will fall---- and the black ribbon falls from
her hair.
A sad story of a misspent youth, brilliantly done.
An incredibly nice poem !
Thank you,

Very good piece. It makes one want to travel right now. In fact I can't finish my review, I feel the road calling. Great piece.

This was really good! I have a good friend who travels the open road in a big rig. I feel your words make that life so romantic.
Great Job!
