For B

For B

A Poem by Oceana
"

For my niece and my goddaughter on her first birthday. B, I'm so sorry we've never met.

"
I die for the day when
I will hold your small,
impressionable body
and mold you into the woman
your mother never was

I love you to the moon
and back

Short but precise. You are a loving aunt. You have that promise that you will help the baby grow into a woman...opposite of her mother...

Moving, though the voice is someone admirable.

Elegant and simple and wonderfully profound. This seems like the pledge of a new mother to her newborn daughter.

Thank you for the beautiful poem of love. Small babies make us realize the gifts of life and love. These are the poetry that need to be passed on. Poem of love and concern are needed till we are old and gray. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

Hurry, take it from an old man, small impressionable bodies quickly turn into teenage know-it-all forms.
