For Raggedy AnnA Poem by ObsidianSea
You.
The same smile, again and again The eyes that seem to get brighter with every glance. The angel and the commoner, as it seemed the hour we met Driven by a voice inside that burned me to take a chance. No, I won't live forever but I'm better for knowing you. Seeing the solar smile that helped me through. The unpredictability that ruins my name, didn't seem to faze the likes of you, nor the mild hell i put myself through. Needle and thread couldn't help us be better friends, and I know our patchwork through and through. After wandering hours over the roads and through faraway cities, I collapse into an unfamiliar bed and dial a number, hoping to hear your voice so I'll know I've made it home. Take a chance with strangers, they're not so bad. Especially not you. No, Raggedy Ann, especially not you. © 2011 ObsidianSea |
