Oh, Desolation.

Oh, Desolation.

A Poem by ObsidianSea

Broken wills and alliances drag him forward
Past the point of no return
When he tries to speak
Blinding smoke pours from his mouth
Cast upward across shattered eyes
Already out of sight,
Always out of mind
His footsteps are poisonous
And his touch is sickening
Let it be known his name is Man.
Let it be known his name is death.
Let the sunshine sweep across
and reveal his face
A mass of wires and twisted with hate
Let the sun reveal his blindness.
Let the sun reveal his weakness.
CLEAN VOCALS
And I heard a whisper,
a voice that led me nowhere
And I followed it to the edge of forests
Over oceans, and to the heights of mountains
Oh God, I've lost my innocence
CLEAN VOCALS
I've lost my way,
I've lost what I held to be mine
Holding fast to the earth,
My body eroding in time.
