Chapter 4: Father

Chapter 4: Father

A Chapter by ObsidianSea

This world no longer bears My fruit.
It has dried to naught but dust,
and scattered to the solar winds.
Purpose now envelops you,
and you will herald the creation
of an untainted birthright.
Sleep now,
and your Odyssey will soon take hold.

Pausing, wondering,
The hallowed voice that I had
heeded since consciousness,
seeking and wanting.
And now,
the planet wasn't so blank anymore.
I saw
vast meadows and plains,
deep oceans full of life,
and mountains and valleys that
far outclass Earth's tired landscape.
Undisturbed.
Free.
