A Poem by kailanthropy

I try not to control,
but hold
her tongue when kaleidoscopic swears
paint the walls;

she’s yelled herself purple and blue,
blueberry hues,
highlighting the bruise on her right breast;

I only want to kiss her golden,
gold as the honey on her tongue,
with twinges of rose
plucked from her cheeks when she smiles,
so I let her color outside of the lines
until she’s become luminescent.

"so I let her color outside the lines until she's become luminescent" -- I like that.
