Frustrating

"

just another very short, anecdotal, almost-prose description of my life.

"
We sat. She ate, and I pretended to work on my art project. I sighed while gripping tightly to a pair of wire cutters, the sad fact being that in no real universe would I actually ever need to cut metal wire into tiny bits of shrapnel. It comes to mind now just how much I like to destroy things when nervous; straws, paper scraps, clips, etc. Making snide comments in my head, I listened to her rant about her boyfriend. The bits of wire clinked to the desk at a quicker pace the more she glorified his pimple-ridden face. Thankfully, she is a terrible multi-tasker. Thankfully, she was more focused on toasted almonds and an impending Chinese test; thankfully, her preoccupied brain couldn't take note of my reddening face and trembling hands. Thankfully, Kathryn Parker is an absolutely oblivious girl.
