Eulogy

Eulogy

A Poem by Gaige

I don't want to breathe
Your air of toxicity
You have infected me
My favorite disease
My preferred drug
I'll use you up
The darkness that remains
A mark of my craven love

Everything is empty
Everything is sin
I'll carve my words into you
My words will mar your paper skin
Your weapon is beauty
Mine is the pen

Fill the air with lies
Step into the shadow of my life
Watching the flowers bloom
From the darkness that snuffs out my light

I wish you well
Or who you used to be
The girl I loved is gone
I hope she never comes back to me
