Dance in the Dark

Dance in the Dark

A Poem by Gaige

I will find my fire
A heart bleeding love
The faintest of candle flames
In a sea of dark
I touch your whisper
Breath lingering in longing
Wounds I cannot mend
Imperfection within your beauty
Stitches of scarlet string
Binding us together
Become entangled
In the words my passion weaves
Innocence wanes and fades
Slipping into the grace of night
Where words lose meaning
Follow my way of feeling
Forever become my darkness
And I will always be your light

Oh I love the title and the imagery in this... just; very nice, I really enjoyed it. Love the feeling in the first stanza to begin the poem and love the second stanza. In the third stanza I love the way you built it using the stitching, binding, entangling, and weaving. And the last stanza, love how you ended the poem with the emotion.

Wow.. cleverly written. I liked the imagery and symbolism in the scarlet string. Your word choice was excellent, and there was a sense of rhythm in the first stanza that just made everything flow together. Nicely done.
