Sanity Has A Hold On Me

Sanity Has A Hold On Me

A Poem by Gaige

Haunts hidden in unbound believing

Vie for control shadowy lover

Echo faintly my keeper

My morals have been compromised

Like a virgin's beautiful suicide

Forgive me for wearing a crown of desperation

Defined in the violence of my soul

Contorted defiance melded deep within

Sacrifice upon scared ground

Up against a wall of mirrors

Reflect my sanity around us

Choose to save one

All will cease to breathe

Graves a profound asylum

Where the jilted find their peace

Dead man's hand clutching

Singing a forgotten hymn

Captivating in substinance

Where does life begin

If ends are not perminent

Surprisingly philosophical, in it's way. There's a brutal sort of self-reflection, like the caricature of a circus mirror.

I really liked this.
