Ours

Ours

A Poem by Gaige

Compassion held my hand

Beauty cast me a glance

Love drew me close

Life gave me a chance

I walked streets of light

Heard songs in my head

Danced to my own flow

Gave all my dreams away

My moon whispered goodnight

Stars kissed me goodbye

Dusk hugged me tight

A sunrise saw me cry

Watching the evening fade

I was hers

and

She was mine

Very well written and good write. Very original and fresh perspective on the subject i liked it a lot... and like i said it was extremely refreshing compared to some writes on here. I like that started it ambiguously and then ended with the "i was hers and she was mine." because it is so common for these type of love poems to start of like that, and it can be so stereotypical and boring. It also keep the reader, me, wanting to race (i mean keep reading) toward the conclusion.
