Slight

Slight

A Poem by Gaige

Memories and stories left to fade
Once more into the breach
For the young of heart do reach
As come to us an end to days
Lovelorn hearts like whispered words
Lying now in hallowed ruins
Hearts in mend of a westward god
Searching, seeking for the buried man's praise
Won't you come and save me
From a world trapped in tears
Rivers of a a salty, bleeding creed
For Jesus Christ I do weep
Free me from the prison of sight
Perdition caught in eyes sewn shut
In remorse I dare believe

I love your ability to blow me away within a few lines of poetry...you probably blow anyone away! The last two lines are my favorite; one, awesome vocab, two; they're just bloody brilliant. This makes me feel so morose & empty...but the beautiful crafting of this makes up for it. You're honestly a really, really, really, really great writer. No doubts there. Fantastic (:
