Untruth

Untruth

A Poem by Gaige

It's been a while
Since I could feel the beauty in my intentions
A kind of soundless melody
Making what can't be felt into illusion
Lost in a contorted frame of mind
Twisted into unfathomable shapes
I just wish I had one more peaceful day
To remember the losses I try to savor
But my world lies forlorn in fracture
Sun falling into an endless winter
Moon lying in her serene grave
I close my eyes and consume the darkness
The bleed takes me and I begin to fade
Is it too late to say that I'm sorry?
For convincing myself of such deception
Living in the perdition that I have rendered
This hollow world where I am not afraid

Your poems are always so poignant. Having eloquent & unique vocabulary; every line you write is beautiful. I love how you ask, "Is it too late to say I'm sorry?" It adds intensity to your poem, like a delicate breakage in the flow, causing more emotions to erupt. Love the meaning of this too. My favorite lines are definitely "but my world lies forlorn in fracture, sun falling into an endless water".
You're an awesome poet, as I always look forward to reading them (:

Very thought provoking and an enjoyable read. It had a mystic quality to it that kept me reading.

For some reason this reminds me of myself, but it's still my favorite lines of the entire thing. A great way to start it out.

Loved.
