Cradle

Cradle

A Poem by Gaige

Onward weary feet into this dream
Lost soldier in a dreamless night
I sold my heart, a vixen took my soul

Going for a long drive to breathe in the sea
In the pacific is where my heart lies
Song of waves and gulls calling me home
In my eyes you look like a ghost town

Harvesting the fire of season
Sun pardoning the moon in each rising day
Warmth of the rays calling me closer
Leaving my in the cosmos
Stranded and alone

Growing older in each second
Was this minute of life worth more
Than all the countless ones that came before

Close the door to your mind
Stalk my nightmares ever so quietly
My tragic, beautiful haunt
Last whispering your name for my sake tonight

Pictures of you remind me I'll be fine
Because I will hold you close
In the pacific blue
Even if waiting in this limbo for you
Lasts until the end of time

A very beautiful poem.
The fourth stanza and the last lines - "Even if waiting in this limbo for you
Lasts until the end of time" particularly stood out to me.
Nice work here.
I like it too :)
