Try to Imagine NothingA Poem by Gaige
Chilled, chided like a child's lover
Caught between fantasy and insurrection Monster of man yet to become Power his weakness, leave him so Fallen to depths only God can know Soul relinquished to a beggar's fate Stolen harbinger, caught in the devil's ways Desperate to become an embodiment of hate Fragile paradox, a pure man now a sinner's slave Make your amends, for the dead know their place Deeds of doubters used to claim paradise Violent purging, a means to an unreachable end Complete in silence, all halos inevitably come down More than just a criminal, a victim of fate's tragic trend Callow hearted in awaiting a day to die Fallen lovers unseeing, unburned, unsung Man's lonely, last ashes lost in a gust of wind Crosses we bear to which our nooses are hung Last hymn meant to chastise with words daunting and cruel It was just a joke my friend, you simply played the fool
