Lonely

Lonely

A Poem by Gaige

Sympathy sewn into my sleeves

A melancholy feeling stitched into my mind

Foreboding words haunting my every step

I find my serenity in silence

Watching my shadow dance alone

Weighted wounds anchoring me to this home

Harboring the heights from which I fall

Ensnared by this world and its pull

Voices tell me onward I must go

So I wander
My weary shadow and I
Haunting this world alone

Truly heartfelt. Thanks for sharing.

This was interesting, not only in the melancholy words, but in your use of formatting to illustrate the weight of an anchor at the end. Nice!
